Prayer For Purity Of Mind

Gracious Father, Your word tells us that we are to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Today, I earnestly come before You seeking purity of my mind.

In this world filled with countless distractions, guide my thoughts and help me to focus on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.

Let Your Word shape my thinking and my attitudes, and keep my mind steadfast on You. Oh Lord, in those moments when unclean thoughts attempt to take root in my mind, grant me the grace to capture and surrender them to You.

Replace them with Your truth and let Your peace guard my mind in Christ Jesus. Help me to meditate on Your Word day and night, and to allow its transformative power to renew my mind daily.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalms 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Prayer For Sanctification Of Body And Soul

Almighty God, I seek Your divine touch upon my body and soul. Scripture reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and should be kept pure and holy.

Grant me the strength and resolve to flee from any form of immorality that seeks to defile my body. Help me to honor You, Lord, in everything I do with my body and soul.

And, Oh Lord, as You work on my external self, I pray that You also work on my internal self – my soul. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Help me to walk in righteousness, to practice kindness and humility, to serve others in love, and to constantly seek Your will in all things. Purify my heart and my soul, that I may reflect Your glory in all areas of my life.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Prayer for Protection Against Impurity

My God, we live in a world that often pushes us towards impurity. Various forms of media and societal pressures may tempt us to compromise our purity of mind, body, and soul.

I ask You, Heavenly Father, to protect me from these influences. May Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, illuminating the way that I should go and protecting me from stumbling.

Enable me to guard my heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Instill in me the wisdom to make decisions that align with Your will and honor Your commandments.

And when I face temptations, remind me of Your faithful presence and the empowering promise that no temptation has overtaken me that is not common to man.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Committing To Purity

As I commit my self to a life of purity, give me the power and strength to maintain it always. Lead me Lord, in the path of righteousness. Direct my steps. Correct me when I go astray and bring me back to You, my Eternal Father. Wash away my sins, make me white as snow.

Change me, Lord. My language, my way of life, my sinful ways, may they all be of You. Help me to be an example of Christ-like purity. Help me to maintain those virtuous standards and values I have placed for myself as well as those around me, Oh Jesus, be my center. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Titus 1:15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
