Prayer: God Is In Control
Sometimes life events seem to get completely out of hand. The enemy attempts to put us into situations that test the very foundations of our faith! The good news is, when you are a child of God, God is in control of your life, and Satan cannot touch you without God’s permission.
Even if Satan throws something at you, it will not reach you if it is not God’s will. The Bible says that no weapon fashioned against you will prosper. Whatever is thrown against you, God will turn it around for your good.
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
Romans 8:28. We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
The Holy Spirit is with you. God is continually looking after you and looking out for you. God is in control. Nothing will happen in your life without Him filtering it to bring out the best from you, and for you.
Let Us Pray
Prayer – God Is In Control
Dear Heavenly Father, in the midst of the chaos of the world and the storms of life, I pause to remind myself of a profound truth: You are in control.
When circumstances become overwhelming, and everything seems to be spiraling out of my control, I rest in the knowledge that You, God, hold all things together. Nothing takes You by surprise, and Your plans and purposes will always prevail.
In moments of doubt and fear, remind me of Your sovereignty, Lord. When I’m tempted to despair or worry, strengthen my faith in Your power and control.
Teach me to surrender every situation to You, to trust You, even when I can’t see the end from the beginning. Help me to remember that You are working all things for my good and Your glory.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Prayer To Surrender Control
Lord, today I confess my struggle with the desire for control. I often want to dictate the outcomes of my life, trying to force things to happen in my timing and according to my plans.
But today, I choose to surrender all to You. I yield my plans, my timing, and my desires to You, trusting that Your ways and thoughts are infinitely higher than mine.
Help me to release my tight grip on control and instead, cling to Your truth. Remind me, Lord, that when I try to control everything, I’m not trusting in Your sovereignty. Each day, guide me towards total surrender and reliance on You.
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
Isaiah 55:8. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” says the LORD.”
God Is In Control
Lord, there are times I feel out of control of my life. I feel like everything is not going according to my plans.
Please, teach me to understand that Your plans are not my plans, and Yours will always be better and superior. Help me to trust in You, and to believe You will work out all things for my good.
Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” – Isaiah 35:4
Isaiah 54:10 The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken, says the Lord, the one who pities you.
Trust In God
Your Word says I should trust in You with all my heart, and I should not lean on my own understanding. Lord, help me to trust You when I don’t understand “why”.
Help me to trust in You when my plans are different from Yours. Help me to be patient and to acknowledge your Lordship over me in my troubles. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.
