Prayer: Have Your Way, Lord

Prayer: Have Your Way, Lord

Are you frustrated? Do you feel lost? Are you full of disappointment? Are you struggling to let go of the past? In the midst of your pain, hurt, worries, failures and frustration…do you ever wonder if God has a say and a will for you?

Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Sometimes we experience pain and frustration over what is happening in our lives, because we don’t understand God’s plans and we don’t know His will concerning our situation.

Our relationship with God ought to be based on trust: knowing that in every situation, no matter how bad it is, God is working out things specifically for our good. He is actively involved and interested in our lives and, if we have faith, we turns it all out for our good.

Sometimes we are tempted to think that what we see as good should be God’s will. But, nay! God knows how to mould us into the most perfect and useful vessels. Today, and onwards, make it your ambition to see things with the eyes of God.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with his love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, You are a faithful God, faithful to your word and to your promises. All your promises are yes and they are Amen in Christ Jesus.

You said that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Your word says that You have numbered the very hair of my head. You care for me and about me more than I can ever imagine.

Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.

Romans 12:1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Forgive Me

Then why Lord, have I doubted You? Why did I try to sort out things on my own? Why did I lean on my own understanding?

Please Father, in your infinite mercy, forgive me. Forgive me for relying on my understanding of events and situations in my life. Have Your way in my life.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Have Your Way, Lord

Lord, I surrender my life over to you. Have your way in my life. Have your way in my situation God. Yes, I don’t understand, but I trust You with my life.

Yes, I feel out of control, but You are always in control. Yes, things are not going my way but I know they are going your way for me.

Yes, my plans are not in place, but your plans for me in this very season are in place.

God, I trust You. Come and have your way. Let your plans for my life prosper. Let all You desire for my life come to pass, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Be God in my life. Be my boss, my King and my Master. Take the wheel, my Lord.

Lead me and I will follow. I trust Your leading. I trust your plans, and I believe You are in control. Thank You faithful God. Thank You for your love. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.

Psalm 143:8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
