Prayer To Overcome Hurt And Pain

My Heart Hurts

Dear God, the one who holds my head up high, the one that loves me even though I am undeserving. You are good. Help me hold onto that on the days that I hurt.

You are the one and only who has never left my side, though I complain when they leave mine. Oh, my heart hurts to think about how you feel! I hear you when you tell me to “be still and know that you are God.”

I am done choosing people over you, my God. Please hold onto my heart. Please let no one, not even myself, hurt it anymore to the point of losing hope. I am begging you to hold it close to yours until you and I are ready to give it to someone.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Prayer for Healing from Emotional Hurt

Merciful Father, in Your presence, I bring the deep hurts and emotional wounds that have scarred my heart. I feel the weight of these pains, and they often cloud my days with sorrow and grief.

Yet, I am reminded of Your promise to be close to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit. I seek Your healing touch, Lord, to mend the broken areas of my heart and to restore my joy.

Help me to forgive those who have caused me pain, just as You have forgiven me. Teach me to release the bitterness and resentment that bind my heart, replacing them with Your peace and love. May I find solace in Your Word and comfort in Your presence, as You heal my emotional wounds and renew my spirit.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Above The Hurt And Pain

Lord, You have blessed me beyond what I deserve. Please help me love you first. Above anger, above pride, above rage, above attention, above love, above doubt, above money, above people, above work, above school, above the church, above everything.

I would not have anything if it was not for you providing every step of the way. Help me remember this.

You love me with all your heart.. this is standing out to me more than anything.. I want to love others just like you love us, undeserving. Even when I get hurt.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Prayer for Overcoming the Pain of the Past

Oh Lord of Healing and Hope, I acknowledge the pain of my past, the memories that haunt me and the experiences that have shaped my fears and insecurities. I recognize that to move forward, I need to confront the pain with faith and courage.

In Your hands, I place my past, trusting in Your power to redeem and transform my experiences into testimonies of Your grace and strength.

Help me to learn from my past without being held captive by it. Teach me to use my experiences to grow in empathy, wisdom, and resilience.

As I journey forward, let me walk in the freedom that comes from Your healing, leaving behind the pains that once defined me and embracing the future You have in store for me.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Be Strong In The Lord

Help me stand up once again and be strong in you, Lord and keep pushing through the hurt and pain.

• If I can love people with all my heart, how much more can you love us?
• You hold the waters in the palm of your hands, how much more can you hold onto us?
• If you can heal and save the murders from their shame and guilt.., can’t you do that for me?

You have every single one of my days planned out right in front of you and I pray that someday I can see myself the way you see me.

May I not waste any more days being too sad, worried, or confused about the past. I only strive to look forward to all the blessings you God has in store for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
