Heavenly Father, we come before you asking that you heal us of all hatred against one another. Fill us with Your love. Help us to learn how to love each other as we would love ourselves and as you love us unconditionally.
You clearly demonstrated the love you have for us by sending your son to suffer an unimaginable death on that wooden cross. Lord, you love us more than we could ever understand and though mere sinners like us don't deserve it, your undying love never fails. Oh the blood of the lamb that was shed, how it washes white as snow.
Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Lord give us peace, compassion and love in our hearts so that we can be a blessing to others. Help us to be kindhearted even when we don't want to be. Teach us to show compassion, even when we think it’s not deserved.
Help us to demonstrate to others (our peers, our families, our friends, and especially our enemies), the kind of love you show us everyday. Dear God, let us find forgiveness for those who have wronged us. You are Alpha and Omega, the God of Love, and those that do not know you, do not know what love really is; we pray that they find their way back to you.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Those who are hurting, lonely, depressed, broken-hearted, suffering from low self esteem and crying out, Father we ask that you be their comforter in this difficult time. Wrap your tender arms around them and let them feel your warmth and embrace .
We ask that you walk beside them, guide them and show them your love. Help them to realize that they are never alone for you said you will never leave us or forsake us. Give them strength oh God, heal, touch and deliver them in Jesus name, Amen!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
