Divine Love: Prayer For God’s Overflowing Grace

Invoking God’s Presence

Heavenly Father, in the quietness of this moment, I come before You with a longing in my heart to be filled with Your divine glory. Your Word tells us that You are love, and those who abide in love abide in You.

I seek to dwell in Your presence, where love is not just a concept but a profound reality that transforms lives.

Pour out Your grace into my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may experience the breadth, length, height, and depth of Christ’s sacrifice for me. Let this overflow from me to others, guiding my actions, words, and thoughts.

Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Ephesians 3:17-19 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Prayer for Understanding and Sharing God’s Word

Oh Lord, grant me the understanding to grasp the enormity of Your grace, that sacrificed everything for my redemption. Help me not only to understand this with my mind but to feel it deeply within my soul, transforming my very being.

Inspire me to express this in all I do, making it visible through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and deeds of compassion. May Your gace in me be a beacon of hope to the brokenhearted, a warm embrace to the lonely, and a message of grace to the lost.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

Prayer For the Experience of Divine Love

Lord, let me experience Your divine love in a profound and personal way. Open the eyes of my heart to see the countless manifestations of Your grace in my life.

From the gift of salvation to the daily provisions and protections, let me recognize and celebrate Your grace in all things. May this recognition stir in me a deeper appreciation of You and a fervent desire to serve You with all that I am.

In moments of loneliness or despair, remind me that I am never forsaken, that Your presence is steadfast and Your grace is sufficient. Fill me with an overwhelming sense of Your presence, renewing my strength and my joy.

Psalm 36:7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Filled with God’s Unconditional Love

Lord give me peace, and compassion in my heart so that I can be a blessing to others. Help me to be kindhearted, even when I don’t want to be. Teach me to show compassion, even when I think it’s not deserved.

Help me to demonstrate to others (my peers, families, friends, and especially my enemies), the kind of love you show me everyday.

Dear God, let me find forgiveness for those who have wronged me. You are Alpha and Omega, the God of Mercy, and those that do not know you, do not know what love really is. I pray that they find their way back to you.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Prayer for the broken and depressed

Those who are hurting, lonely, depressed, broken-hearted, suffering from low self-esteem and crying out, Father I ask that you be their comforter in this difficult time.

Wrap your tender arms around them. Let them feel your warmth and embrace.

I ask that you walk beside them. Guide them and show them your grace. Help them to realize that they are never alone for you said you will never leave us or forsake us.

Give them strength oh God, heal, touch and deliver them in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Romans 5:8 God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
