Prayer to be Filled with God’s Love
Oh Wonderful and Heavenly Father, I come before you, asking that you heal me of all hatred against others. Fill me with Your love. Help me to learn how to love others as I would love myself and as you have loved me unconditionally.
You clearly demonstrated the love you have for me by sending your son to suffer an unimaginable death on that wooden cross. Lord, you love me more than I could ever understand.
And, though mere sinners like me don’t deserve it, your undying love never fails. Oh the blood of the lamb that was shed, how it washes white as snow.
Psalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Filled with God’s Love
Lord give me peace, compassion and love in my heart so that I can be a blessing to others. Help me to be kindhearted, even when I don’t want to be. Teach me to show compassion, even when I think it’s not deserved.
Help me to demonstrate to others (my peers, families, friends, and especially my enemies), the kind of love you show me everyday.
Dear God, let me find forgiveness for those who have wronged me. You are Alpha and Omega, the God of Love, and those that do not know you, do not know what love really is. I pray that they find their way back to you.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Prayer for the broken and depressed
Those who are hurting, lonely, depressed, broken-hearted, suffering from low self-esteem and crying out, Father I ask that you be their comforter in this difficult time.
Wrap your tender arms around them. Let them feel your warmth and embrace.
I ask that you walk beside them. Guide them and show them your love. Help them to realize that they are never alone for you said you will never leave us or forsake us.
Give them strength oh God, heal, touch and deliver them in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Romans 5:8 God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
