The Power of Your Words
Father God, Gracious and Loving Messiah, I praise Your Precious name. As I worship You today Lord, I ask for wisdom so that when I speak, my words will glorify You and be a reflection of who You say I am. May I always be reminded that life and death are in the power of the tongue and what I speak, I call into being. I pray that my words will encourage, motivate, edify and build up the people I come into contact with and even those around who hear my voice.
Proverbs 6:2 – You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.
Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Help me also to deliberately change my negative words and intentionally transform them into ones that bring life, no matter what challenges are placed before me. Words of faith, strength, courage, success, confidence, trust, peace, happiness and joy are just some of the positive attributes I want to speak into my life.
Mark 11:23 – For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Thank you, Almighty God, that I can face any obstacle within my path because Your Word is sharper than any two-edged sword and can cut through anything; it produces power! May I always remember to SPEAK LIFE and let the desires of my heart be granted, in Jesus’ name, SO BE IT… AMEN AND AMEN!
Let us remember to declare daily the Word of God
by opening our mouths and confessing it!
Romans 10:8-10 – But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
