Heavenly Father, today we lift up the young men of the nation before You, especially those in our families; our brothers, our nephews, our sons, as well as friends and associates in our community.

Lead them to live holy lives, may they hunger and thirst after Your word and after righteousness. Set them up as positive role models to those who look up to them. Guide them, oh Gracious Father, to be all You created them to be.

1 Timothy 4:12 – Let no one despise your youth. Instead, be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Surround them with good company

Surround our young men with good company. Bless them with persons who will motivate them into  a stronger, deeper, more meaningful relationship with You. Lord, bless those who have encountered near-death experiences.

Show them that it is by Your might and Your power that they were saved and are alive today, to fulfill the purpose and plans You have for their lives. Lead them down a righteous path, turn them away from their wicked ways.

Isaiah 40:30-31 – Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Acts 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

Bless the young men

Bring love, joy, peace and happiness their way. Let it be abundant and overflowing.  Allow them to experience Your grace.

Protect them. Cover them under the blood of the Lamb, as they go out to face this harsh, cruel, lonely world.

Remind our young men that, though this world is a dark and gloomy place, when they walk with You they are never alone. They will always be protected. For those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We declare that all our youths be protected from this day forth in Jesus’ mighty name Amen!

Philippians 2:14-16 – Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

Psalm 91:2 – I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.

Proverbs 11:14 – Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
