Where do you seek your rest? In our walk with Christ, we will encounter stumbling blocks, speed humps, setbacks, failures, limitations and disappointments. But God has pre-ordained all our circumstances to work out for our good.
God will use stumbling blocks as stepping stones, disappointments as appointments and setbacks as seasons for building capacity to hold our next testimony.
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
But sometimes, all things seem to be working against us. We get tired, lose heart, even consider quitting.
But today, be encouraged and be reminded that God does not change. Whatever He said, He will do. In your situation, remember that His promises are yes in Christ and they are Amen through Him. Do not lose heart, rest in God. Rest in His promises.
2 Corinthians 1:20. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
LET US PRAY
Heavenly Father, I come to you to find rest from my heavy labor. Take my yoke and give me yours, which is easy. I exchange my burden for yours which is light. Every load and circumstance that is making me to lose heart, Lord I bring them at your feet.
Strengthen me in my weakness. Let me know that when I am weak then I am strong, because your strength is made perfect in weakness.
Isaiah 40:29. He gives power to the weak. And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
Isaiah 40:31. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.
Resting In The Lord
Lord, You are the source of extraordinary strength, and those who wait on You shall renew their strength. Give me the grace to patiently wait on and rest in You until my strength is renewed. I shall not lose heart. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen!
Galatians 6:9. So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
Matthew 11:28-30. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
