Prayer To Lay Your Burdens Down
Matthew 11:28-30 reads: Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.”
Dear Lord Jesus, here I am again this night, to lay all my burdens at your feet. I lay down my worries, my stress, my lack and my anxiety here at your feet. I cast all my cares unto you, for You care for me.
1 Peter 5:7. Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Leaving Your Burdens
Empty me of my worries and fill me with the assurance of your faithfulness. Show me that I can rely on your loving care. Take every part of me, and perfect my peace.
You are a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Draw closer to me and wrap me in your loving embrace.
Take away all the frustrations that I experienced during the day, and give me rest as I am about to sleep, as it is written that You give sleep to your beloved.
Psalm 68:19-20 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.
Psalm 81:6“I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket.”
Trusting The Lord
Teach me to daily lay my burdens at your feet. Teach me to trust in you, oh Lord my Maker, and never to rely on my own understanding.
Come here now Jesus, and refresh me. Restore me. Give me joy and peace of mind. Guard my heart with your love and kindness.
Renew me in my sleep, and prepare me for tomorrow. In the wonderful name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Psalm 55:22Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalms 4:8. In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You alone Lord make me dwell in safety and confident trust.
