Oh Loving Father, we come to you on this most beautiful day to ask that you ease our worrying minds. Lord, sometimes we are up late at night, while our minds are at work thinking about the “what-ifs” and “what could be”.
Help us to remember that you are in control and only you alone know what the future holds. We just need to be still and remember that you are God.
Psalm 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Consumed by worry
We know that worrying gets us nowhere. Yet we still allow worry and anxiety to consume us.
In times such as these, Lord, we ask you to grant us a great amount of strength, faith and courage to fight off the doubt and fear within our minds. Faith casts out fear while fear casts out faith.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken..
Remaining calm, not overthinking
Heavenly Father, there are many who have troubled hearts that overthink everything and get their hopes up, only to be let down by the people around them.
Help us to remember you are always with us Lord, for we know you will never leave us nor forsake us.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Praying for patience to weather the storm
Lord, please touch the hearts of those crying out in desperation, in search for an answer.
We beseech you to give us the patience we need to weather the storm as we feel your comfort and warm embrace while you ease our worrying minds. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Psalm 34:17-19 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
