Prayer to rejoice in the Lord always, and to trust in His Sovereignty
God has planned out our lives perfectly, and according to His will. There is nothing that we go through that He didn’t know it would happen. Nothing in our lives is a surprise to Him.
Even the things that we think it is Satan doing them, it is God who has allowed him. Satan cannot touch us without God’s permission.
Hence, we ought to rejoice always, knowing that our God is a good Father, and all His plans are for our good.
Philippians 4:4. Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice!
Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
You may be battling loss, disappointments, sickness, and unpleasant situations. But, the Bible did not say we should rejoice in our good situations. Rather, it said, rejoice in THE LORD always. We do not rejoice because of what our eyes can see, but we rejoice in THE LORD.
Whatever you are going through, the Bible says that the joy of the Lord is your strength in this season. Keep rejoicing in the Lord no matter the circumstances, you will have strength to endure.
Let Us Pray
Dear Lord, I thank You because You are Sovereign, You do not change and You are in control. Situations may be unfavorable, people may disappoint me, the world may feel dark and gloomy, but oh Lord of Salem, in You I find peace and comfort.
In You I find shelter from troubled winds. In You I find rest from my burdens. In You I find companionship when I feel alone.
Nehemiah 8:10. Then he said to them, “… Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Psalms 139:13. For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Rejoice In The Lord
So, I will heap up praise and adoration to You, the King of all ages, immortal, invisible, and the only wise God. You dwell in the midst of the Cherubim, You walk upon the wings of the wind. I will rejoice in You always, for You are always with me.
I may not understand why things turned out the way they did, but Oh Lord You know it perfectly well, and You are not surprised.
I may not understand why my plans have failed, but I am sure that Your plans for my life have not and will never fail.
Psalms 139:4. Even before I speak, you already know what I will say.
All Things Work Together For Good
You make all things beautiful in Your time…and ALL THINGS (both bad and good) work together for the good of those who love the You.
Abba Father, thank You that all things are working together in your plans for my good. Thank You that I am walking in Your will, and You are in control.
So let joy fill my heart. Let peace, calmness and stillness fill my soul. In the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Psalms 139:16. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.
