There are times in our lives that challenging situations, such as lack of finances, spiral out of control. And, no matter how we look at it, we know it’s better to stop battling and approach Our Father.
After all, Our God is able to grant peace, wisdom and all the good things that come from heaven.
It should be the deepest desire as a child of God to guard against taking matters in our own hands. Instead we should seek greater intervention from Our Father, the generous supplier.
Praying for Financial Favor – Acknowledging God
Glorious Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your rich love that has enabled me to see yet another day.
I thank You for the great gift You have granted me to freely come before Your presence and lay my concerns before Your Holy throne.
Father God, I ask for the forgiveness of my sins known and unknown. I pray that You wash me with Your blood and that Your blessing will follow me like a river. Bless me with financial favor.
Psalm 55:22 Cast all your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you: He will never allow the righteous to be shaken
Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.
A thorn in my flesh – Finances
I kneel before Your altar today for there is a thorn that has been tormenting my flesh for a while now.
My finances are that thorn, that great concern to me. And currently I don’t desire the place I find myself in.
Living from hand to mouth. Borrowing because of lack. My finances have taken a hard knock and I am not able to cope with the means I have now.
And at times it’s not that I don’t have enough, sometimes is the inability to wisely prioritise. The inability to learn from my past mistakes.
So, help me O Lord, grant me sufficient grace, wisdom and financial favor to overcome.
Psalms 62:5 Rest in God alone, my soul for my hope comes from Him.
Jeremiah 17:7 The man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed.
God, please anoint my hands and my finances
I have come to seek Your guidance on how to wisely use my resources, not only for myself but also to become a fountain of blessing to those who are less privileged.
You have said that whatever we ask for, we should believe that we shall receive it.
So, Father I ask that You anoint my hands, finances and everyone else’s that might be experiencing the same challenge. I humbly ask that You bless my finances.
Bless me with discernment to know who I should loan or give my money to, and also to guard against being constantly empty handed.
I come against that spirit and I break that chain in Jesus name. I am tired and at times am ashamed to be the borrower. Because Your word tells me that I shall be a lender and not a borrower.
Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me and I will answer and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.
Prayer for those experiencing financial difficulties
Heavenly Father, I pray that the spirit of lack is broken, in the Mighty name of Jesus who became poor so that we can be rich.
And so, what is it that we ought to worry ourselves with? Heavenly Father, hear our cries and grant us wisdom to also constantly create a love to sow in Your Kingdom and not just focus on our own needs.
Because, we know that as Kingdom supporters, the gospel will reach many in all the corners of the earth and Your name shall be glorified indeed.
