Trusting in God: A Testimony of Faith

The Word of God, (in Proverbs 3:5), tells us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways, we should acknowledge him and he will direct our path.”

It is important to acknowledge God in all our ways as stated in Isaiah 30:21 –  “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

God wants us to stop trying in our own strength, and to let go and let God. Then, he will manifest himself in our lives. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Patreon Christine King shares a wonderful testimony of Trusting God and Letting Go, A Supervisor’s Struggle, and God’s Intervention. Here are her words, (not in her own voice)….

A Supervisor’s Struggle And God’s Intervention

I’ll tell you about my supervisor. She really never knew me, so she couldn’t relate to me, but God connected her to me. One day, her son was put out of school for aggressive behavior and she had to work.

God made her call me; it was my first time talking to her privately. I told her to bring her son, I would stay home from work and take care of him while she went to work, even though I too, needed money and had to work.

After keeping her son, when she came to collect him, I sat with her and told her that her child needed her. I explained that she needed to quit her job and get another job, that included time for her child.

She couldn’t understand what I was telling her. Instead she kept saying to me, ‘I have to pay bills; how will I quit my job?’ I told her, ‘IF YOU LET GO, GOD WILL SHOW UP.’

Trusting In God’s Plan And Provision

Thereafter, every time she spoke to me, I said those same words to her, until one day she resigned!

Just one week later, she got a job that paid her a lot more and, in addition, she had a lot of time for her son! She called me screaming on the phone. I told her God can never lie, trust Him with everything.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not different from anybody. But I have come to realize that, when I let God handle the problem, he fixes it, with rewards. All I pray for is the strength in my toughest times, and not to give in to anything that will pull me away from God. Keep praying and exercising your faith, and you will see God move in your life!
