Prayer When You Are Broke and Lacking

Oh Lord, my God, in humility and earnestness, I confess that I am broken, both in spirit and in circumstance. I am in a place of lack, in a season of want, in a time of need. I look around and see scarcity, I look within and find emptiness.

But I lift my eyes to You, for where else would my help come from, if not from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth?

Dear Lord, thank you for watching over me. Thank you for providing me with my daily bread. You have provided for me until now. How faithful are You oh Lord God! 

You clothe the flowers and the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown in the fire. The beasts of the field get their daily food from You.

The birds of the air do not sow or reap or store food in barns, and yet You, my Heavenly Father, feed them.  And I am much more valuable than them all.

Phillipians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Trust in God’s Timing and Goodness

In my state of brokenness and lack, I choose to trust in Your perfect timing and unfailing goodness. Even when the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, even when the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, I will rejoice in You. I will be joyful in God my Savior.

My God, You are the one who turns deserts into pools of water, and parched ground into springs. I implore You, to remove my brokenness. Turn my financial desert into a wellspring of provision.

Turn my lack into abundance, my scarcity into sufficiency. I trust in Your promise, Lord, that You will supply all my needs, according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 41:18 I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Broke But Casting All Your Cares

Father Lord, I know your word says that I should be anxious for nothing, but I should let my requests known to You by prayer and supplication. Lord, my heart is filled with financial anxiety and worry. 

The bills keep piling up, I’m in debt, and have no peace. I cast all my cares upon You Lord, for You care for me. I bring my finances before You. Have your way my God, and take over in my finances.

Psalm 50: 9-12 For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

Thriving And Prospering in Christ

Oh Lord, how great are Your riches! Your word says that the cattle upon a thousand hills are Yours! The world is Yours and all that is in it!

My God, I pray that I should not only get through this but that I may thrive and prosper greatly, in the name of Jesus Christ! 

You know where the fishes are, my God! When Peter did not catch anything all night, You knew exactly where He needed to cast his net. 

Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

Blessing Your Business and Finances

Lord, lead me by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to the blessed idea, business opportunity or decision that will cause a miracle rain in my finances.

Cause my finances to prosper, Lord. You promised to bless the works of my hands, please bless my job, bless my business, and let it prosper.

Take away this stress and anxiety from my heart, that I may be able to wait upon You in faith and praises. Let my heart rest in Your promises, and let me trust in your faithfulness.

Give me peace, and let every raging storm in me, caused by lack, be silenced, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
