Prayer: The Lord Will Sustain Me Through Every Trial

When life becomes difficult, it is easy to overlook God’s blessings. Remembering and testifying about His goodness can strengthen our faith when we feel discouraged.

A Prayer for God to Sustain Me

Abba Father, I thank You, for this is the day You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it, because my Redeemer lives. Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, a mighty Savior, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, and doing wonders?

Behold, the heavens and the heaven of heavens belong to You, O Lord God, the earth also, with all that is in it. To whom can You be likened and be made equal? To whom can You be compared, that You may be alike? Oh, indeed there is no other God but You. There is no Savior besides You.

Psalm 145:14 The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

God’s Promises Never Fail

Heavenly Father, Your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Your Word never fails, and everything You speak accomplishes Your purpose. When my circumstances tempt me to doubt, remind me of Your faithfulness through every generation. Help me wait patiently when answers do not come quickly and trust that Your timing is perfect.

Strengthen my heart to stand on what You have spoken rather than what I presently see or feel. Keep me from fear, impatience, and discouragement. Let Your promises anchor my soul, renew my hope, and guide my decisions. I believe You are faithful and that You will complete the good work You have begun in me.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Isaiah 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

God Will Sustain Me

Father, You said You are HE. You are He who will sustain me. You are He who will sustain my family. You are He who will sustain my marriage.

You have made me, and You will carry me throughout my entire life. You will carry my family through difficult seasons. You will carry my marriage. You will sustain me and rescue me from trouble.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 138:2 I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Trusting In His Word

Oh Lord, I will trust Your Word. When my finances are dry…when it seems that I won’t be able to provide the next meal for my family…when there seems to be no company to give me a job…when there are no customers to support my business: Lord, You are my Source.

You will come through for me just in time. I will not be afraid of shame and disappointment, because You said You will sustain me and rescue me.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Never Give Up

Dear Lord, when I feel like giving up on my dreams, You are my greatest encourager and motivator. You told Joshua to be strong and courageous, for You were with him.

Oh Lord, I will draw my strength and motivation from You. I will not be afraid or discouraged, because You will carry me and sustain me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

A Short Prayer for God to Sustain Me

Heavenly Father, sustain me through every difficult season. Provide for my needs, strengthen my faith, and carry me when I feel weak. Help me trust Your promises and remain courageous as You lead me forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declare this in faith: The Lord will sustain me, carry me, and give me strength for every season.
