Prayer: Releasing And Moving On From The Past
Dear Heavenly Father, You know the struggles I’ve faced in the past. The disappointments, the heartaches, and the failures have left an imprint on my heart. Moving on from the past is so difficult at this moment. I recognize that to fully embrace what You have for me, I must let go of what has been. This task is not easy, but I trust in Your healing power and grace.
Often, the past haunts me, stifling my growth and hindering my progress. I realize, Lord, that holding onto past mistakes and hurts only pulls me further from the abundant life You promise.
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Healing From Past Hurts
Oh Lord, You see the deep wounds from my past that still cause me pain. I ask You, Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, to heal these wounds. May Your love envelop me and remove every residue of hurt and bitterness that is rooted in my past experiences.
I declare that no past hurt has the power to define my future. You have called me to a life of freedom and joy, and I choose to walk in that freedom.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Letting Go Of Past Mistakes
Heavenly Father, I am sometimes paralyzed by the guilt and shame of past mistakes. But today, I choose to accept Your forgiveness and grace. I choose to believe that my mistakes are not bigger than Your mercy, and that You have washed me clean through the blood of Jesus.
Help me to accept Your forgiveness and to forgive myself. Help me to learn from my mistakes but not be bound by them.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Embracing The Future
Lord, as I let go of my past, I look forward to the future with hope and excitement. I trust in Your promise to guide me and to give me a hope and a future. Help me to embrace the new things You are doing in my life.
I know that You have plans for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me. Help me to trust in Your plans and to step out in faith into the future You have prepared for me.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Continued Growth And Transformation
Lord, as I move on from the past, help me to continue to grow and transform into the person You created me to be. Let my life be a testament to Your grace, mercy, and transformative power.
May I become more and more like You each day. Help me to lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Releasing And Moving On From The Past
Father, my past is trying to consume my present. I am constantly reminded of it. It replays in my mind daily, like a broken record. Today, as I am moving on from the past, Oh Lord, bless me with inner peace, so that my thoughts can be clear and focused.
Teach me to forgive myself as well as others who have done me wrong, just as You forgave the world. All the hurt, all the pain, and all the suffering: I release it! Every grudge, the uneasy thoughts, and all the negativity, I rebuke it!
All the fear, all the doubt and lack of faith, I curse it out! Every chain that binds me to my past shall be broken and I am set free. In Jesus’ Holy name I pray, Amen!
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.
