Prayer: Claim Your Joy – Don’t let anyone steal it
Oh Father, I come to You today as I am so fed up being tormented by the enemy. I want to claim the joy that I know You have already provided, yet I am so miserable and depressed because I can no longer get a grasp on it. I keep reading too much into simple situations and in the process, stressing those I love. Help me Lord to believe in myself again and to know who I am in Christ. You, Jehovah are my refuge and my fortress, in You I know I must place my trust!
Lately I have allowed others to steal my joy over and over again, and it is so difficult to claim it. Every time I try, it seems to get more and more difficult. I have become demotivated and despondent, dejected, lacking confidence, my spirit has dropped to an all time low. Abba Father, I know that I am responsible for my happiness so help me to free myself from the negative energy I feel.
Grant me new insight, Lord and take me to a higher level in understanding what I am dealing with.
I declare right now that I am a child of the Most High and Loving God and I will live a life free from resentment and full of contentment. I have total control over my mind and I will be peaceful, regardless of what happens around me. I claim my joy right now, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ! SO BE IT…AMEN!
2 Corinthians 1:24 – Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 – Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 – Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
James 1:2-6 – My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.I am a child of the Most High God and I will live a life full of contentment.
