Prayer To Protect Our Daughters From Attack

I won’t mention the nationality of the man, but, I’m writing this prayer the day after my daughter was chased by a man in a car. At the time, she was walking back home from her piano classes in the evening.

He stopped by her side to start a conversation, but she carried on walking. He then proceeded to invite her to get into the car and offered her a lift.

My daughter, being a marathon runner, ran with all her might until she reached the guardhouse in my neighborhood. It was only at this point that the man sped off.

It’s Not Safe Anymore

Terrified, she called me and I left the office immediately and returned home. It’s not safe anymore for her to walk to school or for her lessons. I have arranged for transport and, though she’s 16, it is obvious she can’t fight any man.

We read of many girls going missing. Today I truly felt the pain of the parents who have lost their children. I know they won’t be able to concentrate on their life, sleep in peace or eat a meal, not knowing the whereabouts of their children, not knowing what happened.

I Can Only Pray

And, as a Christian, I can only pray and reflect on the verses from the Lord our God as we place our trust and hopes for Him to shelter our children wherever they go and whatever they do.

Genesis 28:15 “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. And I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Prayer To Protect My Daughter From The Flesh

Heavenly Father, awesome and mighty God, we bring our young women before you. Send your angels to cover them and to walk with them each and every day. Oh Lord, our daughters are such precious gifted treasures from you. Preserve and bless them as they travel in this cruel world.

Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways

Matthew 18:10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Help them, Lord Jesus, in an ever-changing world. This world is so filled with all kinds of dangers, impurities, evil, lust, and lewdness of flesh. In their growing age, help them to respect their own bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Help them to recognize the voice of evil and conquer it with strength, courage, truth, and obedience to You Lord, and us as their loved ones. Surround them with godly friends. When they are weak, let their friends be strong and build them up.

Hebrews 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Protect them with Your angels, safeguard them and help them discern right from wrong, good from evil. Let them stand on Your spiritual shoulders and bravely serve Your purpose in all their endeavors.

Lord, protect our daughters, nieces, aunts, mothers, and grandmothers from all evil and harm. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
