Simple Prayer to overcome the flesh

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you humbly, thanking you for your grace and your mercy even when we don’t deserve it.

Lord, we thank you for watching over us last night as we slept in slumber. Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your angels to watch over our loved ones throughout the night.

Abba Father, we thank you for blessing us each and every day. Lord, we come to you asking for your forgiveness for our sins, known and unknown.

Galatians 6:8- For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Overcoming the flesh

Lord Almighty, we admit to you that our flesh is much stronger at times and we allow the enemy to win. But Lord we ask you for strength and wisdom to defeat the enemy the next time he comes with tricks.

My God, we know we can do all things though Christ who strengthen us.

So send the Holy Spirit to help us stay strong in your word. In your mighty name we pray, Amen!!!!

Galatians 5:16 – I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

  1. Please pray for my brother Shawn’s biopsy to come back negative for cancer. He is going through a trying time in his life but I offer this all up to our precious Lord God almighty for his divine intervention.
