Simple Prayer to overcome the flesh


Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you humbly, thanking you for your grace and your mercy even when I don’t deserve it. Lord, I thank you for watching over me last night as I slept in slumber.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending your angels to watch over my loved ones throughout the night.

Abba Father, I thank you for blessing us each and every day. Lord, I come to you asking for your forgiveness for my sins, known and unknown.

Galatians 6:8- For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Overcoming the flesh

Lord Almighty, I admit to you that my flesh is much stronger at times and I allow the enemy to win. But Lord, I ask you for strength and wisdom to defeat the enemy the next time he comes with tricks.

My God, I know I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me. So send the Holy Spirit to help me stay strong in Your Word. In the mighty name of Christ, I pray, Amen!!!!

Galatians 5:16 – I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

  1. I ask that God help us turn away from the sinful nature of our hearts and minds and meditate on things that partain His will.

  2. I ask ye to pray for me, to over come lust and masturbation, in the name of our lord Jesus Christ, amen

  3. I am soon to become married. Could you please pray for my husband and I to, keep our minds and hearts as well as thought in tuned into the spirit and not on the fleshly desires that comes with life. We want to be strong and connected to god and also do our best to turn the other cheek to our flesh.
