Psalms 119:105 : Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
We thank You for Your word, the Book of Life, which You bestowed upon mankind for a righteous and blessed living. We thank You for making true Your promises, Your word became flesh and walked upon earth to dwell among us. We thank You for we are brought in Grace and Eternal Life in belief in Him, our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Lord, we pray for those who have not heard and read Your word. We earnestly pray that more will come to read and understand Your word, which has all the true meaning to a life in You through our Lord Jesus.
May today be a good day for them to start preparing themselves to receive Your word in all grace and truth. Help them, Lord, and reveal the many ways they could read and understand Your word. Whilst they are many bible studies online, may they also know and reach their churches for a group study.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
May those who desire to do the bible study on their own, discipline themselves on a daily basis and allocated some precious time for Your word. We pray they desire wholeheartedly, and hunger constantly, to know the truth, to believe and seek Your presence and guidance through the word.
May they who begin to read Your word pray before hand, asking You Lord to help them understand and receive Your Word. Help them believe that through Christ, they are in Your holy presence and can approach You boldly, humbly and expectantly. We pray that they take this opportunity to be seriously and conscientiously involved in bible study and make notes and reflections of what Your word reveals. May they spend time meditating on Your words and come to know You and hear Your voice.
May they invite the Holy Spirit to give them insight and meaning to what Your word reveals. Grant them, Lord, the presence of mind and earnestly desire to know it in all truth and discern Your revelation in each word.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Lord we pray they believe and be prepared in heart and mind to apply what they learn and discern in their daily living. Though they may fail and falter, through Your word may they receive blessed assurance of the great Love, Mercy and Forgiveness You offer through Lord Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:16 -17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
May those who suffer in sin receive Your word and know that they receive pardon and grace through Lord Jesus Christ in repentance. May they receive consolation in each word they read, that You Lord, love them through all the iniquities and will be there for them in all their needs. Through conscientiously reading Your word, may they hear You speak to their life situation. Let them come with open hearts expecting to learn, expecting to change, and become fruitful children of Your Kingdom.
In these walks, may they come closer to You in deeper faith. May they trust that You Lord are the Godhead and in You is all authority of heaven and earth. May fellowship with their brethren be established through reading Your word and may it become to a new beginning of their sharing and prophesying Your word to the ones who do not know You and those who have not heard Your word.
We pray in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen!
