Prayer: Walking Humbly With God – Overcoming Arrogance
Gracious Lord, I exalt You, I lift Your Holy Name. I just want to give thanks, oh Mighty Father. Thank you, Lord, You are worthy, I bless Your Holy Name. Show me what it means to walk humbly with You.
Shower Your abundant love and blessings on my life, let it rain! Let it pour down from the heavens. I want to be lost in You, beautiful King, wrapped up in Your holy presence.
You are all my heart desires, Lord. My soul longs for You and nothing else will do. You are the only One who can quench my thirst.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
2 Corinthians 7:14 For if in anything I have boasted to him about you, I am not ashamed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting to Titus was found true.
The Way Up
The way up is always down. Down on my knees in prayer. For when life gives you more that you can stand, kneel. Lord, guide me to not have a spirit filled with pride, but a spirit of humility.
Teach me to not be arrogant, for self-exaltation is an abomination to the King. Help me to recognize my great need for You, only then I will learn how to humble myself in childlike faith before You.
Matthew 18:3-4 Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Psalm 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Overcoming Arrogance with God’s Help
Lord, I confess that the battle against arrogance is not one I can win on my own. I need Your strength and Your correction. Illuminate the areas of my life where pride has taken root and guide me in uprooting it. Replace my desire for self-exaltation with a desire to lift others up, to serve, and to glorify Your name above all.
In my interactions with others, let me be a reflection of Christ’s humility. Where I have been self-centered, teach me to be other-centered. Where I have sought my own glory, guide me to seek Your glory. In my thoughts, my words, and my actions, let humility prevail.
James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Walking Humbly
Lord, You only commune with the humble. Hence, this is what I want to become, for You to dine with me and, when I am transformed, I shall be elevated and You will walk with me. Hold my hands as I am walking humbly in your spirit.
Father, I know once I go with You, You will walk with me. Therefore, I declare that I am being transformed into a humble disciple of You. In Jesus mighty name, Amen!
Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Proverbs 6:17-19 A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.
Lord may you have your will be done in your Kingdom of Heaven and on Earth. Victory over it all Holy Lord.

Christ I love you so much. I want to come humbly before you and admit my wrongdoings. I confess to you and idolatry I have. I confess to you any lustful thoughts. I confess to you a spirit of pride and arrogance haughtiness and a bad temperament. Release me from any strongholds afflicted upon me by the enemy. Release me from any negative thoughts or talk over my life. Lord please show me how to become kinder softer more loving more gentle. Keep my heart tender father God. I feel like I have had so many hurtful experiences but please do not let become bitter. Please keep my heart pure and unstained. Please allow me to still fall in love in spite of experiences that have disappointed me. I feel so weak tonight Lord. Please lift me up. Please help me to hold myself accountable in all things. Please forgive me for not spending enough time with you. You’re all I have a Jesus. Please help me to bear any sufferings I have to face to be counted worthy of you. Please help me to always be pleasing and acceptable in your sight. I love you.
Father God, thank you for blessing us with a new a d beautiful day.
Father God my desire is to be obedient to your ways, to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with you my Heavenly Father.
I ask you to mold me into a better person daily as you walk beside me. Shape me into the person I am meant to be. I want to be lost in you, merciful Father, wrapped up in your Holy presence.
