Prayer To Quiet Your Inner Self

Sometimes we feel so tired, overwhelmed, crowded with responsibilities. It feels as if everything is irritating us. It is during these times that we may breakdown, lose our inner quiet, and shout at our spouse or children.

Just like our physical bodies, our inner man also needs rest, and calmness to be able to function properly. And this rest is found in the presence of God.

Exodus 33:14 The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Let Us Pray

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me to truly lie down in fresh, tender and green pastures. He leads me beside still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my soul.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Jeremiah 30:17 I will restore your health, and I will heal your wounds, declares the Lord, because you were labelled  an outcast, “Zion, the lost cause.”

Psalms 42:1-2 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Praying For Quiet, Stillness

Oh Lord, quiet my inner man. Let there be stillness. Let there be peace. Let me find security and comfort in You.

I surrender all my worries and burdens to You. Whatever might be draining me, I cast it to You Lord.

Come and relieve me. Come and ease me. Come and refresh me. Come and heal me from within  in the name of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Remaining Calm And Peaceful

Father, give me grace to remain calm, quiet and kind. I’ll not shout and yell at others. I’ll walk in goodness, kindness, long suffering, quiet peace and gentleness. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
