The Bible warns us that we are involved in a battle against spiritual powers. This can lead to bondage, stress, and fear. As such, “we must submit ourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” So keep your eyes and focus on Jesus.
Ephesians 6:10–12 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
We stand strong in the Lord’s power. God’s armor protects us. Our reliance is on God’s power, not our own. We cloth ourselves with the whole armor of God.
We draw on the power of Scripture — the Word of God is the Spirit’s sword. And we pray in perseverance and holiness, making our appeal to God.
Stand firm (Ephesians 6:13–14). Submit to God. Resist the devil’s work (James 4:7). The Lord of hosts is your protector. “Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken” (Psalm 62:2).
Prayer To Be Set Free From Bondage, Other’s Expectations, Stress And Fear
Holy Spirit, lead me, guide me and walk beside me through this journey. Break every chain and every stronghold in my life. Set me free.
Free from bondage, free from sin. Free from temptations, stress, fear and other people’s expectations of me. Let me prove them wrong. May they see a good work in me and glorify You.
Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Romans 8:15 For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Prayer for Liberation from Bondage
Sovereign Lord, in Your presence, I find the strength to confront the chains of bondage that have held me captive. These shackles, whether of sin, past mistakes, or harmful habits, have hindered my walk with You and my freedom in Christ.
I confess these bondages before You, seeking Your power and grace to break free. Deliver me, O God, from anything that keeps me from fully experiencing the life You have planned for me.
In the victory of the cross, I claim my liberation. Jesus, You have triumphed over sin and death, and in Your name, I declare freedom from every form of bondage in my life. Help me to walk in this freedom daily, constantly aware of Your redeeming love and power.
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Prayer for Release from the Expectations of Others
Lord God, I come before You weary from trying to meet the endless expectations of others. The pressure to conform and please can be overwhelming, leading me away from Your unique plan for my life.
I ask for the courage to prioritize Your will above all else, to seek Your approval rather than human validation. Free me from the fear of man, that I might serve You with an undivided heart.
Give me discernment to recognize when the expectations of others align with Your will and when they do not. Help me to find balance and to set healthy boundaries, ensuring that my primary aim is to fulfill Your purpose for my life.
Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Galatians 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Prayer for Relief from Stress and Anxiety
Heavenly Father, in this tumultuous world, stress and anxiety often cloud my mind and burden my heart. I lay before You my worries, fears, and anxieties, trusting in Your promise to sustain me.
Replace my anxious thoughts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help me to focus on Your faithfulness and provision.
In moments of overwhelming stress, remind me to come to You in prayer, casting all my cares upon You because You care for me. Teach me to rest in Your presence, to find solace in Your Word, and to rely on Your strength in times of weakness.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
I Am Victorious Through Jesus Christ
Lord, knowing You are always near, I break free of every negative thought, word or action directed at me.
I declare I am victorious through Christ Jesus, who is my strength, my fortress and my strong tower. Lord, raise me up to overcome everything that tries to pull me away from You.
Hebrews 2:14-15 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Breaking The Chains Of Bondage
Heavenly Father, replace my fear with strong faith. Replace my worry with mighty hope. Replace my despair with unspeakable joy.
Lead me to that inner peace that can only be found in You, my Lord and Savior. Today, those chains of negativity and bondage are broken and I am free. In Jesus’ Mighty name I pray, Amen!

Galatians 5:1– It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
