Heavenly Father, Thank You for new beginnings, fresh starts and second chances. Thank You for the gift of a clean slate. I praise You that Your mercies are not exhausted by my past, but are renewed every single morning.
No matter what yesterday held, whether it was victory or defeat, productivity or stagnation, I step into this new day with hope because You are with me.
Fresh Starts, Leaving the Past Behind
Philippians 3:13-14: But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 43:18-19: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Lord, I ask that You wash away the weight of regret. Quiet the voices of doubt that say I cannot change, and replace them with the courage of Your Spirit. I surrender the “what ifs” and the “should haves” into Your hands, choosing instead to focus on the path You are laying before me today.
Grant me the discernment to make wise choices, the grace to speak kind and life-giving words, and the strength to walk in integrity even when no one is watching. Lead me step by step; help me not to run ahead of You in my impatience or lag behind in my fear.
Lead me step by step, and let this new season reflect Your goodness in my life.. Transform my habits, renew my mind, and let my actions be a testimony to Your redeeming power.
May I be a good steward of this fresh opportunity, using it to bring light to those around me. In Jesus’ name, I ask these things, Amen.
