Prayer For Courage And Strength
Heavenly Father, you are my shield and my sword. You are possessive of me and concerned about my well-being. You are my source of strength and courage.
Abba Father, whenever the enemy has tried to break me, you have been there to protect me and uplift me. You have kept me and protected me for all my years on this earth.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Prayer for Courage
My Lord, today I ask for courage. There are things that I face today and, Lord, I need the courage to face these trials in my life.
I need the kind of courage you gave Nehemiah that he was able to speak to a king and build a wall, even in the face of opposition.
I pray that when opposition comes my way, you will make me brave. Put the words in my mouth to calm the storm that rises up against me. Even though I may be fearful, I know you are my protector.
Joshua 1:6 Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith; be courageous. Be strong.
Do Not Be Dismay
Lord, even when things in my life look dismal as if there is no end, help me to remember that in Deuteronomy 31:8 you said: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.”
Dear God, I ask You to give me the courage to face the trials in my life. Even when the devourer may think he has me down, help me to remember who is my redeemer.
Help me to look away from my situation and look to you. Just as Samson remembered where his strength and courage came from, let me remember the source of my strength and courage.
Judges 16:28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”
2 Samuel 7:27 For you, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have made this revelation to your servant, saying, “I will build you a house.” Therefore your servant has found the courage to pray this prayer to you.
Courage for Dealing with Family Problems
I ask for the courage to deal with my family life. Give me your love, Oh Father, so that when things get tough, I will not lose patience.
Bless me with fortitude that when the tough times appear, I will be able to stand strong and give Godly advice.
And whatever words that proceed out of my mouth would be filled with wisdom and love. Give me the grace and wisdom of Solomon.
When I lose focus on the goal, when I feel as if I cannot see this race through, when fear of what the future holds paralyzes me, help me to remember that you will never leave me nor forsake me. Give me the determination to struggle on and get back on track.
You will never allow me to fall in harm’s way. I believe that you will work all things out in my favor, as your word promised. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Daniel 10:19 And he said, ‘O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you. Be strong and of good courage.’ And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’
