Prayer – Preparing for the Week Ahead
Get Refreshed
Feeling stressed and unduly pressured already? We usually take either Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week.
Many of us get so caught up in the business of preparation for the work -or school- week ahead, that we haven’t taken the time to sit at Jesus’ feet to allow him to fill us with living water.
John 4:11, 13- 14 She said to Him, Sir, You have no bucket to draw with and the well is deep. How then can You provide living water? Jesus answered her, All who drink of this water will be thirsty again. But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water ,welling up continually within him unto eternal life.
It’s funny, we’re too busy or too tired. But if we take the time to allow God to flood our beings with Himself, then we are strengthened for the up-coming week.
No preparation is more important than spending that time with our Abba Father. Thus he can empty us of the dross and difficulty of the last week. He can fill us, prepare us, cover us and put things in place for us for the upcoming week.
Tough Week?
So if you had a tough week and are concerned, or too tired and frustrated to deal with this week, then I encourage you, sit at His feet.
Take the time out of your busy schedule and spend some time with our amazing Father. Let Him fill you and prepare you to face this upcoming week!
He already knows what’s going to happen. So why not let Him prepare you for it?! Let us pray for the week ahead.
Prayer For The Week Ahead
Dear Lord, as we enter into this new week, we come to you with hearts full of gratitude and trust. We thank you for the blessings of the past week and ask for your continued guidance and protection as we step into the unknown of the days ahead.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
We pray for the strength to overcome any obstacles that may come our way, the wisdom to make sound decisions, and the courage to take bold steps forward in faith. We ask for your blessings on our relationships, our work, and our pursuits, and we pray for the well-being and happiness of all those around us.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We place our trust in you, Lord, knowing that with you by our side, we can accomplish all things. We ask for your grace and mercy to surround us always, and for your love to be evident in all that we do. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.“
