We pray to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let us make the best of each and every day to clear our mind so that we can hear from You. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Let us not whine and whimper over things we have no control over. Let us continue to see sin through God’s eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when we sin, let us repent, and confess with our mouth our wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God. Help us Lord to not judge others, or to speak an ill word.
Praying for blessings
Continue to bless us that we may be a blessing to others. Keep us strong that we may help the weak and rejected. Keep us uplifted that we may have words of encouragement for others. Bless those who are lost and can’t find their way. Comfort those who are misjudged and misunderstood. Heal the hurting and abused. Help us be a light of hope in their darkness.
Matthew 14:23 After He had dismissed them, He went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone.
Seeking quiet time
Lord Jesus we pray when this world closes in on us, let us remember Your example – to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. We know it’s the best response when we’re pushed beyond our limits. We know that when we can’t pray, You listen to our heart. Continue to use us to do Your will, Lord and walk Your path.
Philippians 2 : 10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
We pray for those who don’t know You intimately. We pray for those who don’t believe. May we be a living witness of Your love and joy and peace. And in our example may Your blessed name be glorified together with the Father in heaven.
Psalm 118 : 14 – 16
