Praying For A Merciful Heart -Forgiveness

Sovereign Savior, I approach your throne of grace and mercy asking that you touch my heart. Lord, grant me a merciful heart. Engulf and fill my heart with the type of mercy you gave, when Jesus died on that cross to save a lowly sinner such as myself.

I do not deserve such a beautiful gift. But yet You gave to me without question. Your love poured out as the precious blood of the Lamb flowed, so that we can have that same mercy.

Psalm 145:8-9 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.

Psalm 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

A Merciful Heart: Forgiveness

Allow me to be a replica of Your love. Let Your light shine through. Allow me to have mercy on myself as well as others. Let me follow in Your footsteps.

May I forgive just as You forgave the world. Soften my heart so that I can touch the lives of others. Lead me, guide me and walk beside me, as I portray You in all that I do.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Job 6:14 To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

Prayer For Strength To Forgive

Lord Jesus, in my human weakness, I find it difficult to forgive those who have hurt me deeply. The wounds often seem too raw, the pain too intense. Yet, I know You call me to a higher standard – to love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me.

I ask for Your divine strength to help me forgive. Empower me to let go of the past, to release those who have wronged me from the prison of unforgiveness in my heart. Help me to remember the immeasurable forgiveness You have given me and let that inspire me to forgive others.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Luke 6:27 But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.

The Power Of Forgiveness

Father, bless me with the wonderful power of forgiveness. Give me the grace to unconditionally forgive those who have done me wrong.

Give me the strength to let go of all ill-will, to forgive myself of my own failings and sins, knowing that you have already forgiven me.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Proverbs 3:3-4 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.

Prayer For Healing From Past Hurts

Great Healer, I acknowledge that the path of forgiveness often leads through the valley of hurt and pain. The memories of past offenses can linger and cause deep wounds. I need Your healing touch, Lord. I desire not only to forgive, but also to be healed from the hurts that others have inflicted upon me.

I pray that You heal every wounded area of my heart. Where there is pain, bring Your soothing comfort. Where there is bitterness, replace it with Your sweet love. Let Your healing flow into every area of my life, bringing wholeness and restoration.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Prayer For Reconciliation And Restoration

Father of reconciliation, You who bring peace to broken relationships, I ask for Your guidance in restoring relationships damaged by lack of forgiveness. Let Your spirit of reconciliation flow in my relationships. Help me to take the initiative, to seek reconciliation, and to be an agent of peace.

Guide my steps and my words as I seek to mend bridges. Let Your love shine through me, bringing healing and restoration. Help me to build relationships that reflect Your grace, mercy, and peace.

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Lord, I Forgive

Today Lord, I forgive those who have done me wrong in the past and I forgive those who will do me wrong in the future. I release it!

Every chain that binds me to negativity, hurt and pain will be broken. I curse it out and rebuke it and invite Your mercy into my heart. In Jesus’ Almighty name I pray, Amen!

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
