Jadene Burgess, who goes by the pseudonym Jadeneb, is a young woman who now uses her talents to spread the Gospel on Instagram and on the web. But this was not always the case. Here’s her remarkable transformation story:

Testimony – From Wine, And Alcohol To The Gospel – The Jadeneb Story

God is real! The pic above was taken in 2012. My best friend @nooshkebab and I lived for clubs, alcohol, ‘turn ups’ and parties, self-centered and unbothered, believing we were happy.

That night (like most other nights) our goal was to finish an entire bottle of tequila, smoke all the weed we could handle and go home wasted. Mission accomplished.

The next morning we woke up sick

As nature would have it, the next morning we woke up sick, hungover, feeling trashy and less than content, to say the least.

Yet the cycle continued, week after week, because it was ‘fun’. What did we accomplished from those activities?

Absolutely nothing. Soul-less people flowed in and out of our lives, with no boundaries on the types of people we acquainted ourselves with, socially promiscuous, spiritually dead, acknowledging the belief in God but living like He didn’t exist.

After losing friends and loved ones in a series of suicides and unexpected deaths, we were mutually in search of something different.

In 2013, God met us in the deepest pits of our sin and changed our hearts, minds, desires and even our appearance. He saved us on the same day and we have been walking this journey together with Christ ever since. She is truly my soul sister.

The mercy of God

Mercy rewrote our lives. Today we cannot live without one another, despite being in different countries. We feel one another’s struggles and praise one another’s strengths.

God taught me the true meaning of love and it started with a friend. I’ve found a true Ecclesiastes 4:9 friend in her.

Two years later and my decision to follow Christ has been the best decision of my life. Without Him, I am truly lifeless. He gave my life meaning and purpose and I will live to glorify Him and make Him famous, completely unashamed.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
