The Lord, as great as He is, cannot execute His plans on the earth without using a man or woman. In the Bible, we see God using a donkey to speak to a prophet who was disobeying Him. There is indeed so much that the Lord wants to do, but only a few people are willing to be used by Him.

Luke 10:2a And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

God is in need of a man who will stand in the gap before Him for your family, your workplace, your government, and the world.

God needs men to represent Him in all sectors such as Medicine, Politics, Education, Entertainment, Economy, and Technology.

Ezekiel 22:30 “And I searched for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Sometimes we hear bad news of car accidents, murders or suicides of people close to us. If there was a man standing before God for the person who committed suicide, it may not have happened.

The Lord is searching for a man. Are you willing to be used by the Lord? Maybe you are in politics and you hate corruption?

Or you are a student and you don’t like how nurses speak to patients, and you are planning to become a nurse? That is what we call a “burden”, and burdens lead us to find our purpose in Christ.

Let Us Pray – Prayer: Use Me, Lord!

Dear Lord, thank You for your boundless love towards me. Thank you for your mercies which are new every morning. I don’t know where I would be without You. Today, I want to thank you for the life of the man who stood in the gap and prayed for my salvation.

Thank You for the lives of all apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers who are laboring for the Kingdom and being a light to the world. Please, give them strength, and provide for their different assignments.

  • Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
  • Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Use Me, Lord

Oh Lord, your word today tells me that You are looking for a man/woman. I did not know that you need a man to execute your plans on the earth. I thought You only use people like my pastor at church. Now, Lord, I avail myself to You. Use me, Lord!

I know that You are looking for a man to stand in the gap for my extended family and bring union. I know that You are looking for a man to stand in the gap for the church and for this nation. Lord, here I am! Use me!

  • Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Change my heart, Lord

Give me a mind and a heart like the Father’s heart. Let me be able to know what God thinks and feels towards His people so that I may be able to represent Him correctly.

Give me a heart that wants to serve others. Let me be sensitive to the needs of those around me, that I may offer help where I can.

Use me for Your glory, Lord. Use me to build up your Church. Let the world see You in me, my God. Your word tells me that I am a member of the body of Christ.

  • James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Qualify me

Let me be your eyes, that I may see where there’s a need, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let me be your hand reaching out to others.

Let me be your feet visiting the sick and the prisoners. Let me be your heart, sympathizing with the sorrowful, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I may not be qualified, but I know You don’t call the qualified, You qualify the called. I want to be a blessing, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Today, as I am set to go out, I wait on you to start using me even in a way that seems small to me. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

  • Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
  • Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
