Prayer: In Times of Despair
Everlasting and Eternal Father, we need You everyday, every hour, every minute. Pour out Your unconditional love upon our lives. We ask that You bless and protect us today as we go out into this harsh and cruel world.
Romans 15:13 – Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today, Oh Gentle Lord, let us experience Your holy comforting presence, for we are tired and weary, and our spirits feel weak and filled with despair. We are trying our best to keep pushing and moving forward, to take the next step. Jehovah Shalom, today we do not feel as witty or bright as most days; we feel like giving up.
Deuteronomy 31:8 – And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.
Psalms 145:18-19 – The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
We surrender our all to You. May we understand Your role for us in this journey, Oh Loving Lord, and help us to see the purpose behind Your plan. Provide the grace, strength, and faith we need to take the next step to reach our destination. As we seek Your face, Lord guide us that we may walk and not faint.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 – We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed -always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
Lift our weary spirits, so we can find rest and eternal peace within You. May we stand on mountains and walk on the stormy seas. Give us that unspeakable joy to dance in the rain! In JESUS’ most precious name we pray, AMEN!!
Psalm 18:33 – He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.
Romans 9:17 – For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”Lord, lift our weary spirits, so we can find rest and eternal peace within You! Click To Tweet
