Prayer For Forgiveness And Moving Forward From Past Mistakes

We all make mistakes. Some mistakes can easily be fixed, others may cost us relationships and opportunities. Sometimes we may live our lives regretting  the things we have done.

But, you are not defined by your past mistakes. You are not defined by your failures or your setbacks. You are defined by the size of your faith and the power of your God-given dreams.

Despite what you may have done, despite the unforgiveness of men, the blood of Jesus washes whiter than snow. With God’s forgiveness comes mercy and newness.

You may have made mistakes in the past, but that doesn’t mean you have to be stuck in that place forever. Through the grace of God, You have been empowered to move forward and to let go of the past.

When we make mistakes, it’s easy to get caught up in feelings of guilt and shame. But the truth is, God has already forgiven you for your past mistakes. All you have to do is receive His forgiveness and let go of the guilt and shame.

Choosing the word of God To Move on From Past Mistakes

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

You have a destiny to fulfill and a purpose to fulfill. Don’t let your past mistakes keep you from reaching your God-given potential.

God wants you to dwell on things that are beautiful, pure and lovely. He wants you to set your mind on things that bring you peace, and to fix your eyes on things above.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heavy heart, filled with remorse for my past mistakes. I know that I have fallen short of your glory and have not lived up to your expectations.

Oh Lord, I have done things in the past that I keep regretting. I have made mistakes which have cost me relationships and opportunities, and I feel bitter against myself. Help me Lord, to move past my mistakes. Help me to forgive myself and let go of my past.

I ask for your forgiveness and your grace to help me move past these mistakes and to become the person you have called me to be.

Help me to see the error of my ways, and to have the strength and wisdom to make better choices in the future.

Thank you for looking at me with love, and without judgment, despite my mistakes. You have called me to come boldly before your throne of grace, that I may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Letting Go Of Past mistakes

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your forgiveness and your grace. I ask that you help me to let go of my past mistakes and to move forward with confidence and hope. I trust in your love and your mercy, and I know that with your help, I can overcome any obstacle, and reach my full potential.

My Lord, I know that You still have good plans for my life, despite my mistakes. You want to give me a future and a hope. I believe that Your plans are far above my mistakes and You will fulfill them. Thank You Lord that You are restoring me, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
