Philippians 4:6–7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Prayer for Letting Go of Worry
Heavenly Father,
Heavenly and Loving Father, as I am here today before You, I am reminded of the many worries and cares that try to control my mind and spirit. These anxieties, both big and small, seem to cling to me, often hindering my steps and casting shadows upon the joy You intend for me.
My mind keeps returning to the same cycles, things I can’t fix right now and situations I don’t yet have answers for. It feels heavy to carry it all alone.
Today, I make a conscious choice to place those worries into Your capable hands. I release the need to control every outcome and silence the ‘what-ifs’ that keep me from being present.
I surrender the weight of my future to You, trusting that You are already standing in my tomorrow, preparing the way and working all things together for my good.
Fill my heart with Your supernatural peace where worry used to sit, and help me focus clearly on what I can do today, leaving the rest with You.
Grant me the grace to walk in lightness, confident that Your provision is sufficient for every need that arises. I step forward in faith, knowing that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.
In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
