Prayer – That Family Prayer Be Instilled in Every Home
I wrote this prayer in answer to a few Hangout messages I received on how I raised a good family. My answer is only ‘Prayer’. We always prayed together everyday when the children were young and even now with whoever is around home.
Though we all are not perfect, we are strong, happy and united as a family. And we thank God for His abundant blessings. Let’s pray:
Prayer for Family Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You greatly for our families. We lift up every family and bring them in Your loving care.
Father, families have the greatest responsibilities of loving, honoring and respecting one another and raising children into adulthood to be a respectable and useful person to You our God, to the families, and the world.
It’s the first God-given ministry. Only when our families are right can we step into the world to love and serve others, in Your name.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Psalm 112 : 1-2 Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Developing the habit of Prayer
We pray that parents start the habit of prayer and get children involved from a young age in family prayer.
We pray they take this responsibility seriously and conscientiously with great care, love and joy. May daily prayer and worship be every family’s daily bread and may it be their utmost desire and delight.
As we know “A family that prays together stays together”. May parents instill a little time everyday, in strict discipline, to gather in Praise and Worship in Your name.
Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. Psalm 128:1
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Psalm 128:3
Prayer for families to grow and unite
May parents realize that prayer is the foundation where the family strives in uniting in peace and love and building a relationship with You Lord our God and with one another.
A family that has their focus in family prayer has the Lord Jesus as their foundation. They will never be shaken and they will withstand all the storms of life in a spirit of faith and hope.
We pray too that families learn to grow in fellowship and establish trust in a relationship with Lord Jesus and discipline themselves in a Christian way of life.
Prayer for family love, peace and harmony
May parents put their hearts, mind and soul into bringing up a family united in love, peace and harmony and strong for one another, in all afflictions and circumstances.
May this be a great opportunity and an open door for Your blessings to flow to help curb, heal, and deliver young adults from evil and unhealthy practices and vices.
We pray in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen.
