Prayer For Dealing with Difficult Persons
Prince of Peace, there are days where we encounter difficult persons, who seem to be almost impossible to deal with. Whether it is at home, at work, at school, help us to decipher and understand them. Grant us Your Godly wisdom that we may uplift Your name, even before them.
Let us not judge and condemn but display the love of Christ to them. May we have the strength and courage to forgive those who may have wronged us, even as we have been forgiven.
Matthew 7:1-2 Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Matthew 7:3-4. “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?”
Seeing The Good In Others
Help us to seek out, and witness of, the good that lies in each one. You gave us all beautiful traits, help them to be revealed to all we may come into contact with daily.
Give us peace and patience to deal with these seemly difficult persons with ease, with respect and with a smile, Oh Heavenly Father. We pray that those people also find Your peace. Give them that unspeakable joy in their lives.
1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone. But always pursue what is good, both for yourselves and for all.
Titus 3:10-11 Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.
Forgiving Difficult Persons In Your Life
Help us all to accept and forgive even those difficult persons who have failed to treat us with respect and dignity. Control our thoughts, our actions and the words we utter, so that we would not sin against You.
Help us to not seek revenge in circumstances such as these, so we can be at peace with both You and those around us. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen!!
Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
Proverbs 22:24-25 Make no friendship with an angry man. And with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.
Romans 12:18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
