1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (from Proverbs 3:34)
Today, I’ll like to dedicate this to the younger among us. Let us listen to the Apostle Paul and submit ourselves to the elders, in the Church and in society.
At the same time, those among us who are elders, whether it be in the church, or as a mother or father, an uncle or aunt, let us be examples to those who wish to look up to us.
Today, we witness a breakdown in society where the young don’t respect the adults and many adults are not fitting examples. Where do you stand?
Are you an example for anyone younger than you? Do you respect your parents and the elders at the church? Do you respect your children?
In the workplace, or at school, be an example to others. For through us, many may be brought to Christ.
What kind of ambassador are you?
That I may know Him and the power of the Cross. I’m learning more and more to trust that God has my best interests at heart and that everything He does is for purpose and by design. I encourage you to get to know Him, it has been the most exciting journey so far for me, I’m sure it will be the same for you!
