Is there anything too hard for God to do?

Is there anything too hard for God to do? There are some situations in life that really knocks the breath out of you. I am certain every one of us has a story like this.

You feel that the world and everyone in it has forsaken you. That even God Himself has forsaken you and you are left to walk through the most difficult times all alone.

Even Job said to God that he cries out to Him but He doesn’t answer (Job 30:20). He was at his lowest point in his life. After losing his kids, wife, livestock, health and everything you could think off, even his very own friends didn’t stand with him.

The truth is, you may never know why you end up in some situations. In Job’s case, he did nothing wrong.

God allowed the devil to touch his life, because God knew that Job was devout in His faith, and didn’t serve Him because of the blessings but rather because He loved God and trusted in Him completely.

I am convinced that God knows the whole picture long before things begin to unfold in our lives. When Job was at his lowest, God Himself came on the scene.

He and Job went on to converse for many chapters (chapters 38 to 41). Really, God seemed to have questioned Job, so that in His questions, Job found the answers he was looking for.

In the end Job had to admit “I know that Thou canst do everything…..” (Job 42:2).

As a result of Job’s confession and releasing of his friends (by praying for them); “the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning” (Job 42:12).

Ephesians 1:20-23 All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the centre of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

Is there anything too hard for God to do?

Maybe other gods cannot do great and mighty things because they don’t have this position as God. But God sits on the throne of the universe and Jesus has been given the rule over everything.

And Jesus is our big brother and as a result He looks over us. Is there anything too hard for God to do?

Is your faith falling away because your situation looks so ominous and all you see is the problem? It doesn’t matter what the problem is – no power is exempt from God’s rule!

Make a choice to believe

Make a choice to believe that this is the God that we serve. Recently I had this realization: God who parted the Red Sea so His children could walk across the sea (on dry land) to be saved from their enemies. He is the very same God we serve now.

If you have a Red Sea in front of you today and Pharaoh’s entire army behind you, look to the God who rules over everything, every power, and every name. If you can name it, God rules over it!!!

Proverbs 3:5-6 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

May the God who is able to do all things continue to stand by your side! Amen.
