Be A Light To Others
The world is being engulfed in darkness, Lord. The light is fading daily. Evil is trying to consume Your beautiful creation and faithful followers. But I know victory is mine and those who believe in You shall be saved.
I believe in You, I trust in You and I know You have overcome. Every blessed soul that has lost their way will eventually return to You, for Your timing is perfect.
Matthew 5:14 – You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
Yearning For God’s Presence
Yeshua, allow me to be a light in this dark and gloomy world. May I be a blessing to others. Manifest Your power and love within me.
Let it ignite my soul and let it burn those I come into contact with. They will taste Your Holy presence and now constantly yearn for it.
Allow the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Saviour, of kindness, generosity, compassion, understanding but, most of all, love, to be spread across the land like a wildfire and let it burn!
Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.
Living The Light
Mighty God, I understand that being a light to others is not about drawing attention to myself, but about directing people to You. It’s not about my glory but Yours. I pray that You would guide me in living a life that reflects Your love, Your wisdom, and Your compassion.
Give me opportunities to shine – whether in my workplace, my family, my community, or among friends. Open my eyes to the needs around me, and grant me the discernment to know how to meet those needs in a way that brings glory to You.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, so that I might exude the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In all things, may I remember that I am merely a vessel, a light, and You are the Light of the World shining through me.
Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Light In The Darkness
Almighty Father, I recognize that the world is a dark place, filled with pain, suffering, and injustice. Yet, Your light shines brightest in the darkest places. Equip me, Lord, to be a beacon of hope for those who are lost, a source of comfort for those who are suffering, and an agent of Your justice for those who are oppressed.
Help me not to shy away from the difficult places or to turn a blind eye to the needs I encounter. Strengthen my faith and resolve, knowing that light shines most effectively not where it is already bright, but where it is needed most. May my life become a lighthouse, directing souls toward You, the ultimate source of light and life.
Isaiah 58:10 If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Overcoming Darkness
Yahweh, allow my actions to portray You in everything I do. May the light within me conquer the darkness.
Let it pierce through those stormy clouds, that await my defeat. Let it shine, let it glow, and allow it to illuminate the path You have set before us.
Father, I pray that Jesus’ attributes be bestowed upon me, allowing me to be a light in this world, and towards others as well. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
John 8:12 Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleans us from all sin.
