Prayer Request – New job, with new worries

First of all, thank you Lord for my job and now my husband’s new job and that we are able. I need prayer because we, especially my husband, are now worried about this new job he got. That’s because it doesn’t pay very much. We have 4 young kids (8, 7, 4, & 7 months) and live in a very small town with probably about 2,000 people. He just left an out-of-town job (2 hrs away, auto hail repair) that paid pretty good. But it’s seasonal.

This new job is here in town and also has benefits. But it does not pay very well ($7.25/hr, but is expected to get raised a bit after 90 days). My husband is a little bummed out. I wasn’t really worried about it, but I think now it’s starting to rub off on me and I am starting to worry. I know to trust the Lord and we always faithfully tithe our 10+% (from our gross) cheerfully. But I guess our human nature and flesh are too worried and anxious. Thank you and God bless!

Prayer: New job, with new worries

Heaven Father, we seek your guidance and provision. Give us peace of mind and help us to trust in your directions. Lord, with you, nothing is impossible. So we give you thanks for your outpouring of blessings upon our family. I thank you for the blessing of a new job, and greater income. Continue to satisfy our needs.

Lord, I look to You and trust in You. I am blessed coming in and going out (Deuteronomy 28:6). You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power and love and of self-discipline. So I will not fear, for You are with me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
