Prayer to Overcome Envy
Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes we are jealous of what others have. While we know that they may be achieving great things in ways not pleasing to You, we allow ourselves to be envious of what they have.
Lord, let us not envy the lifestyle and successes of others, but let us turn to You always as our guide and mentor. Let our light shine, Father, so people may see our good works which will glorify You.
You said, what a man sows, so shall he reap. So help us to sow seeds of righteousness and love. May we be generous at all times to those in need. May our happiness come from You and not from earthy things. Bless us, oh mighty Lord, Amen.
Proverbs 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
1 Peter 2:1-2 “Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.”
Prayer for a Cheerful Heart
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. – Proverbs 17:22
Oh Lord, sometimes it seems so difficult to be cheerful, when we are overwhelmed by the challenges of life. Bills pile up, friends deceive us, conflicts arise, life happens.
But Oh Lord, in all things, let us seek Your face and bask in You, to find the joy we need. Let us keep our eyes fixed on You always and may we remember to praise You, even more when happiness is lacking in our lives.
You promised You will never leave us or forsake us and we trust that You will grant us the desires of our heart.
Strengthen our faith as we learn to depend on You more and more each day and as You continue to walk with us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”. Corinthians: 13:4-13
Prayer for Happiness in Marriage
Almighty Father, I surrender my marriage to You. Bless it, Oh Lord and guide us as we walk in union with You. I pray that what You have joined together, no one can separate.
Give us hearts of love and compassion, wisdom and understanding. Let Your everlasting Love be our guide and example.
Lord, I know the plans You have for me and my MARRIAGE and I can rest assured that they are plans to prosper me, my marriage, my children, my home.
Father, I lift up my spouse and myself to You and pray that You will heal any damage and brokenness, and bind us together with cords that cannot be broken. In Jesus name, Amen!
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Prayer – For The Joy of Giving
“There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.” Acts 20:35
“Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you. Deuteronomy 16:17
Almighty Father, I ask that you open my heart to give to others. Teach me the joy of giving, as a blessing to those in need.
Heavenly Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters around the world who are in need, that You will send representatives of Jesus to teach them about their own personal storehouse in Your kingdom and how to access it through new faith and belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
You said Father God that You are our Shepherd and we shall not want. That is a promise we stand on, believing in You to supply our needs according to Your riches in glory through Jesus Christ.
Pull us away from lack into a great, abundant overflow in every area of our lives. In the name of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords we pray, Jesus! Amen.
