Devotional ~ Don’t be a Complainer

Philippians 2:14-15 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

Today, I want you to look inwards. Are you a murmurer and a complainer? Or does the light of Christ shine through you at home and at work, onto all those around you?

You are an ambassador of the King.  A friend testified to me recently of the workings of the Lord in her life. She was hired, along with five others, for just a period of three months.

On the very last day, as the group spent their last hour at work celebrating their time together, she was called in to the owner’s office.

He told her he was looking for one person to stay on, and all the supervisors had recommended her.

At the last moment, she realized that her attitude and joy and diligence had been rewarded.

    1. Ms Graham life is not easy, and the Christian walk is a lot of times harder. Just recently my nephew was saying that since he has been trying to live a better life for Christ he has had more difficulty than when he was running around in the world. the truth is that as christians God calls us to a higher life, and at times this life is not easy. If you read some of the testimonies on this site you would see that all of us have gone and is going through trials and tribulations. The word of God says in Revelation 12:11 that “11 They gained the victory over him on account of the blood of the Lamb and the word of their witness. Love for their own lives didn’t make them afraid to die.”
we all go through suffering, some more than others, and at times it seems unfair, but God has made each of us unique and we all have different things we go through: some because of our own mistakes, some because the devil is bringing all of hell against us because he does not want us to be who God wants us to be, and some to bring glory and honour to the name of our Lord. I encourage you to read Ephesians 2 and remind yourself how special you are to God and how much He has already done for you and your child, and how interested He is in seeing you happy and living the good life that He intended for you to live. Start by proclaiming how good He is and how much he as already done for you, don’t keep looking at the problems, raise your head and look unto Jesus, the author and fiinisher of our faith. His word says that God has good thoughts toward us, plans for our well being and peace and NOT for evil (Jeremiah 29:11). His word is true, God is not a man that He should lie, though the circumstances are not perfect – He is; and He and all of heaven stands with us when we choose to trust Him through the bad times. Don’t give up on God – He will never give up on you.
