Seeking The Heart Of Forgiveness

Heavenly Father, in Your wisdom and grace, You have taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. I come before You today, acknowledging the difficulty of this command, yet desiring to obey and reflect Your love in all circumstances.

Grant me the strength and grace to extend love to those who have wronged me, to see them through Your eyes of compassion and understanding.

Fill my heart with Your unconditional love, the kind that surpasses human understanding and reaches out even to those who wish me harm.

Help me to remember that we are all in need of Your mercy, and that the grace You have freely given to me is also available to them.

Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Luke 6:27 But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.

Loving Those Who Have Hurt You

Oh Lord, I’m asking You to teach me. Guide my heart to love my enemies, even the ones who have hurt and harmed me. Though my wounds could be deep, help me forgive.

May I remember the many times I have sinned against others and how I would seek forgiveness. Because You have always graciously forgiven me.

Empower me to forgive as You have forgiven me, breaking the cycle of hurt with the power of Your healing love. May my life bear witness to the Gospel, not just in loving those who love me, but in extending love to those who are hard to love.

Matthew 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”

Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Remove All Hatred And Bitterness

Lord Jesus, I earnestly pray that I cast out hatred and love those who have been difficult in my life. I pray to forgive those who have terribly hurt me in the past. May I readily accept their apology and be one who practices Your agape love to everyone.

In this journey of loving my enemies, protect my heart from bitterness and resentment. Replace any desire for vengeance with a prayer for their well-being and spiritual growth.

May our encounters become opportunities for Your light to shine, revealing the path to mutual understanding and respect.

Proverbs 25:21-22 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the LORD will reward you.

Deuteronomy 20:1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

Praying For Enemies Who Persecute You

Lord Jesus, the first words You spoke as You laid upon the cross was “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34).

Help me, Lord Jesus I pray, to persevere in the same manner when I am hurt, and pray for those who persecute me. Help me forgive readily.

May I love without expectations, reservations, and limitations. I pray as I call upon Lord Jesus to abide in me and cast out all revenge and contempt against those who have hurt me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!

Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

This is a reminder to all Christians, that in whatever we do to others, we do it with love, in that if the same thing was done to us, we would be happy with it.

    Christians should live by example.
Love our enemies forgive and share the love of Christ with them.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Hallerujah
God is love, and we are made in his image.
So we also love and so we should demonstrate it all the time.

Thank you so much Mary for sharing this message.
    God bless you.
