This prayer is upon request by some who find it difficult to survive after serving in prison and rehabilitation – the social outcasts.

Almighty Father, we pray for those who have been in prison and in rehabilitation centres. Those who have left these facilities and find it difficult to survive. They are not welcomed by their families and set aside by society because of their past behaviors and actions.

Father, we pray that these, our brothers and sisters, come to You in total repentance of their past sins and wicked ways. May they truly accept our Lord Jesus. May they believe that it is only through Him salvation and eternal life is begotten.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Luke 5 : 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

Praying For Their Salvation

Lord Jesus , we call upon Your blessed name. And we pray that they come in contact with Your church and in baptism. May their souls be transformed into new life and a new beginning. May they start on a journey of faith in You, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.

John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you. That you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Praying for a Second Chance for Outcasts

Lord, we earnestly pray that these our brothers and sisters in You are given a second chance in society. As a society, may we not despise those who have erred in their lives, as they come into repentance. May we always remember to love like You do, never in condemnation, but always with love, humility and compassion.

1 John 4 : 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Praying for Wisdom and Guidance

Though we may be afraid, may we lean on You for wisdom and guidance. For in true love, there’s no fear, but courage and strength. May we make acceptance and recognition a part of our service in Your name as we pave a way for these our brothers and sisters to live a normal life again.

Praying for Employment

Lord, we pray that these social outcasts secure a job and a means of living. May they persevere in their trials and tribulations when they are treated without love, kindness and compassion. May they believe and know that they have You and in You they have the recognition and acceptance they need.

Lord, as often as we hear You use broken vessels for Your great works and glory, may these our brothers and sisters in Christ be used by You. May they give their lives fully in your service. And may they grow like little shoots in Your vineyard to harvest a bountiful for Your kingdom.

Lord Jesus, we pray in Your blessed name that love, compassion, humility, respect and forgiveness be part of our lives, as we become a people of God, walking in faith and love for one another. Amen.
